Thousands of visitors enjoyed watching soapbox karts barrel down Great Easton Hill in Essex which was held on the 1st September 2018. The theme was 'all things military' and the organisers hoped to raise £12,000 in aid of the Royal British Legion. Before the racing began, the Last Post was played, a wreath was laid at the village war memorial and a minute's silence was observed to commemorate the ending of the First World War.

Fire Protection Ltd had two soap boxes entered into the race. There were 28 teams competing in the event and The Fire Protection kart, "Shoot Down In Flames" finished in a very creditable 7th position but honours went to "I Ain't Driving That" which finished on the podium in 1st position.
