Thousands of onlookers turned out to watch the annual Great Dunmow Soapbox race which was held on the 27th May 2018. Fire Protection Ltd had two soap boxes entered into the thrilling event which had jumps, chicanes and one or two broken Karts all in the name of a great charity, Great Dunmow Round Table, which raised nearly £5000 to for charities and good causes.

There were 30 teams competing in the event which was watched by between 5000 and 7000 people.

The Fire Protection kart, "Shoot Down In Flames" finished in a very creditable 6th position but honours went to "I Ain’t Driving That" which finished on the podium in 3rd position.
