Affiliations, accreditations and certifications
Fire Protection understands the importance of independent certification to reassure our customers that the level of service we provide is verified by recognised industry bodies. To this end, we were the first company to achieve third-party accreditation for all the ductwork systems and services that we supply.

Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB)
Part of BRE Global
Our Quality Management System is certified to ISO9001:2000, certificate No. 277, issued by the LPCB, for the Manufacture and installation of fire resistant ductwork systems and penetration seals.
Fire Protection Ltd has product conformity certification for Flamebar BW11 to BS476: Part 24: 1987, certificate No. 277a.

Heating and Ventilating Contractors Association (HVCA) 
We are a member of the HVCA, which represents the interests of firms active in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration products and equipment. The HVCA is a valuable provider of training courses.
Membership is dependenton satisfactory assessment of standards, carried out on its behalf, at three-year intervals, by BM TRADA.
Fire Accreditation Scheme (FIRAS)
A passive fire system is only as good as its installation. FIRAS carries out quarterly site inspections to confirm that Fire Protection’s installations meet the required standards. Our installers are individually assessed by FIRAS, confirmation of which can be obtained from the FIRAS web site.
Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)
Being members of RoSPA demonstrates Fire Protection’s commitment to safety, gives us access to advice on Occupational Health and Safety and training. We have achieved the RoSPA Gold Award in 2010.
Investors in People
In 2007 we achieved recognition by Investors in People in recognition of our approach to training and development.
Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP)
ASFP is the leading UK and European Trade Association relating to passive fire protection promoting continuous improvement in all aspects of the fire protection industry.
The ASFP produces the Blue Book, An Industry Guide to Design & Installation Fire Resistant Ductwork. Fire Protection's Flamebar BW11 system is included within this publication.
The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Certification Service
Fire Protection provides of an independently certified CPD on passive fire protection, relating to fire resisting ductwork. We deliver regular, free seminars, aimed at expanding the understanding of the need for, and methodologies behind, fire protection in the construction industry. Our CPD’s contribute to the continuing personal and professional development of all individuals who attend.
Metronet
Metronet Rail is responsible for the major renovation, upgrading, improving and maintenance of the majority of London’s Underground system.
The product and system approval process for Metronet states that only fire-rated ducting systems that have full certification to BS476 Part 24, and have third party accreditation and additional tests to meet LUL (London Underground Ltd) approval can be considered. In addition, all systems must be installed by certificated installers.
Fire Protection Ltd manufactures and installs completed systems using only supervisors and technicians whose technical and practical competence is assessed by FIRAS inspectors in the trade disciplines for which installation certification is held.
