Ascot racecourse

Fire Protection provided kitchen extract ductwork for Ascot's new state-of-the-art grandstand as part of major redevelopment work, which started in 2004. The grandstand's distinctive design is defined by the spectacular parasol roof suspended on 'structural trees', complete with a wide range of facilities for visitors to the racecourse.

The flexibility of the BW11 fire protection system makes it one of the most technically advanced currently available and perfectly suited for the various kitchen extract systems incorporated into this state-of-the art installation. The new grandstand was developed by consulting engineers Buro Hapold Ltd and was officially opened at Ascot's first Royal meeting on 20th June 2006.
