Pan Peninsula - smoke-extract for high-rise residential buildings
Pan Peninsula is a ground breaking mixed-use development, combining retail, commercial and leisure facilities within one of Europe's tallest high-rise residential buildings. Fire Protection was appointed by Haydon Mechanical & Electrical Ltd to supply and install the ductwork systems, which included a dedicated smoke and car park extract system for the building's 50 and 43 floor duplex towers.
Pan Peninsula features a wide range of first class facilities, including business areas, a concierge service, private cinema and a health club; including a pool, sauna and state of the art gym and holistic spa. Its signature restaurant serves international cuisine, while the 50th floor cocktail bar enjoys a 360° panoramic view of one of the world's greatest cities.
To ensure the building services met Ballymore's exacting standards, Fire Protection was chosen due to its extensive experience in providing smoke extract for high-rise developments, including a number of London's premiere sky line landmarks, such as the Swiss-Re (the Gherkin) and many of Canary Wharfs iconic towers. Fire Protection's experience in delivering major projects makes it ideally placed to provide a co-ordinated range of smoke extract solutions, whilst undertaking the demanding challenges associated with working on tall buildings for both commercial and residential applications.
The architects for Pan Peninsula, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill Incorporated, designed the world's tallest building, the Burj, Dubai, which is also protected by Flamebar BW11.
