Bank of Negara

For Bank Negara, Malaysia's national bank, the criteria for fire protection in the new Financial Resources Centre stipulated that only a properly tested, certificated and cost-effective fire resistant pressurisation ducting system would be considered for the project.

Flamebar BW11 was chosen due to its impressive track record, both locally and internationally, as well as for providing a fire protection solution to meet the contractor's tight budget. The resultant system consists of Flamebar BW11 fire resistant pressurisation ducts installed in the Financial Resources Centre's main, high-rise building to prevent the ingress of smoke or toxic fumes into the designated lifts, lobbies and escape routes. In addition, Flamebar BW11 fire-rated ducts are used in Banks Negara's basement and underground car park extraction systems, providing cost-effective fire protection without scrimping on quality or safety.
